Terms of Service

By creating an account, making a booking, or otherwise using THE FARREN, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction (or have parental consent) to book. You confirm that information you provide is accurate and complete.

THE FARREN provides an online marketplace that connects travelers with independent experience providers (“Partners”). Unless we expressly state otherwise, we act as an intermediary: your contract for the experience itself is with the Partner.

We facilitate discovery, booking, payment collection (as disclosed at checkout), confirmations, and customer support. Partners are responsible for delivering the experience safely and as described.

A booking is confirmed when payment is successfully processed and we issue a confirmation (email and/or in-account). Availability, pricing, inclusions, meeting points, and age or fitness requirements are set by the Partner and shown on the listing.

You are responsible for checking requirements (IDs, visas, health, equipment) and arriving on time. Misrepresentation of guest details may result in denied participation without refund where permitted by the listing policy and law.

Cancellation and refund rules are set out in our Cancellation Policy and on each activity page. Listing-specific terms control where they differ, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.

Prices are shown before you pay and may include taxes and service fees as itemized at checkout. Currency is as displayed (often USD unless noted). Payments are processed by Stripe or other designated processors.

You authorize us (and our processors) to charge the payment method you provide for the total due, including permitted adjustments (e.g. verified guest-count changes). Chargebacks filed in bad faith may result in account suspension and recovery of fees where allowed.

You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of unauthorized use.

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes;
• Scrape, harvest, or reverse engineer the service except as allowed by law;
• Interfere with security, payments, or other users’ bookings;
• Post false, defamatory, or infringing reviews or content;
• Resell bookings commercially without our written consent.

Listing descriptions and media are provided by Partners or licensed sources. We may edit or remove content that violates these Terms. Reviews must reflect genuine experiences; we may moderate abusive or fake reviews.

By submitting reviews or other user content, you grant THE FARREN a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the platform.

THE FARREN name, logos, software, and site design are owned by us or our licensors. You may not use our marks without prior written permission, except for fair referencing of your booking.

Experiences involve inherent risks (travel, outdoor activity, third-party venues). Partners control on-site delivery. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the platform is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, THE FARREN and its officers, employees, and agents are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the platform or any Partner experience.

Our aggregate liability arising out of these Terms or a booking facilitated through the platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us for the booking giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD $100), except where liability cannot be limited by law (e.g. death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless THE FARREN from claims arising out of your breach of these Terms, misuse of the platform, or violation of law or third-party rights, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence require otherwise.

Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory right you have to bring proceedings in your local courts as a consumer.

We may update these Terms periodically. The “Last updated” date will reflect changes. Continued use after posting constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, except where consent is required by law.
